We build the layer
underneath.

Talari Technologies PLC is an Ethiopian technology company headquartered in Addis Ababa. We design, build and operate the infrastructure our own products run on — rather than reselling someone else's.

That choice is deliberate. Software written in Ethiopia has, for years, been hosted thousands of kilometres away, billed in a currency most local businesses cannot easily obtain, and governed by rules written for other markets. The same is now happening with AI: the tools are arriving faster than the infrastructure to run them on, and the default is to send the data somewhere else.

We think the more durable answer is to build the layer underneath, here, and to hold it to the standard our customers are legally and commercially held to. That means operating real infrastructure and answering for it, not putting a local brand on a foreign platform.

TalariCloud is the first product to reach customers. Two AI products, angol.ai and donay.ai, are in development behind it, and an automation practice builds for other companies in the meantime. They serve different buyers, but they are arguments for the same thing: the layer beneath Ethiopia's digital economy should be owned and run here.

What we hold to

Four commitments

01

What is collected here stays here

Data residency is a design constraint across everything we ship, not a configuration option we can be talked out of.

02

Priced in the currency people have

Birr-denominated prepaid wallets throughout. Access should not depend on obtaining foreign currency.

03

We operate what we sell

Our own infrastructure, our own routes, our own on-call. If it breaks, it is ours to fix and ours to explain.

04

Say plainly what is not ready

Products in development are labelled as such. We would rather lose a deal than describe something as live before it is.

Let's build it here.

Partnerships, press, procurement or a question about something we build — write to us and a person will answer.
